Support for SSO (Single Sign On)

Security is at the top of our customers lists of features to include in Sovelia PLM. The data the system holds is in most cases the most important asset a company owns. Requires usage of Symetri's Auth0 identity provider (IP). Digital bookmarks

New tagging function to manage personal lists of objects, workflows include grouping objects from multiple locations, saving a list for later use, creating a group to perform the same action on, group to run a subtree search.

Grid configuration optimization

Possibility to associate a specific grid column configuration for a specific data view tab.

Tab counters

Whilst looking at an objects such as Items, projects, documents for example the tabs like where used, impacting ECOs, children, Subtree etc now show a counter indicating how many objects are contained in the sub group.

Zero content declutter

For the displayed Tabs it is now possible to hide the object that contains no values [0] thus minimizing the clutter allowing the user to focus on only the important sub-types. Which Tabs are hidden can be configured on a one by one basis allowing for a unique system configuration to gain the maximum efficiency and understanding of the data in the browser.

Boost revising with custom scripts

When revising objects (like Items, drawings, Documents) customer specific business rules can be assigned to control revision behaviour (this could include options like kept or removed during revise operation) It is an administration task to add the style sheet information.

Download and edit in multiple ways

Download and edit file actions can now be found in multiple places making them easier to access.

Download All

User can select multiple objects (like drawings and documents) and download all files from server as a compressed file.

Customising the Sovelia Environment

Administrators can configure different server environment page banner and login screens. This making it possible to distinguish if a user is in test, development or production environment.

Hierarchical Data fields

Navigating lists within lists can be confusing and not clearly displayed for all users to see and understand. In a continuing effort for clarity we have enhanced the look of hierarchical data fields in the object card. It is now easier to understand which sub fields are dependant of which top fields. This makes for an easier to navigate function that is understood more easily by consumers.

More dedicated help for Administrators

There are many settings that need to be understood in the administration section of the Browser Client administration tool (HAT): We have now added Context specific help pages. this means clicking on and ? within the system will take the user to a dedicated section of the Sovelia.com/knowledge base section of the website. This will enable more and deeper help to be added as and when needed meaning administrators are always in position of the most up to date information. This allows then to make informed decisions about the changes needed.
