Sovelia Days is an annual event for Symetri's Sovelia PLM and Configurator customers. This year's event took place in Tampere, Finland 18-19 April.
Sovelia Days brings together companies of Sovelia PLM and Sovelia Configurator to network, share thoughts, user experiences, and operating methods of the solutions.
During the event participants heard interesting use case examples from Lumon, Martela, Ouman and Europress where PLM and Configurator solutions are in the core of the companies business processes. In addtion to great presentations, attendees engaged in lively discussions and gave great input to the future development of Sovelia PLM and Sovelia Configurator. One hot topic and discussion point was also the carbon footprint of products and how Symetri with Sovelia PLM could support the lifecycle assessment (LCA) and calculation of carbon emissions in the future.
Lumon Oy is a pioneer in the design, manufacture and installation of comfortable and luxurious outdoor rooms. Solution Manager Juhani Hovi presented how the company uses Sovelia PLM and Sovelia Configurator successfully in managing the order-delivery chain of their glass outdoor rooms and railings.
Ouman Oy focuses on intelligent building automation equipment and the optimisation of energy consumption. Company's Head of Quality Assurance Tommi Torikka explained how Sovelia PLM is used in manufacturing of electronics and HVAC equipment.
Europress Oy is Northern Europe's leading manufacturer of waste compactors and balers. Antti Korhonen, PLM Development Manager, presented how Sovelia PLM is a used in their core business processes supporting the company's growth.
Martela Oyj designs and manufactures user-driven workplaces and learning environments. Martela's R&D Director Juho Laine was on stage to showcase how Martela in the future could be using Sovelia PLM in the calculation of products' carbon footprint.

Sovelia Days 2024 took place in Tampere, Finland again on April 16-17. This two-day event brought together around 50 Sovelia customers from all over Finland to connect, share insights and explore the latest innovations in Sovelia products.
