Sovelia Engineering is a Data Sharing solution that is simple to implement and allows you to manage, share and access design data easily, efficiently and securely.
Solution helps you to produce high-quality designs on time and budget to gain competitive advantages. Design information can be managed and released reliably to non-CAD users, change requests captured, and controlled design changes implemented.
Built-in Inventor & AutoCAD interfaces
Built-in interfaces in Inventor and AutoCAD combined with different automation tools in Sovelia Engineering eliminate manual and labour-intensive work for engineers when registering design data, converting data into general file formats such as PDF and sharing and releasing the files.
Web client
The Sovelia Engineering web client allows non-engineers to find and view the correct versions of drawings and documents easily without disturbing the engineers. All in all, this collaboration platform helps manufacturing companies save time and avoid errors, thereby reducing unnecessary costs and delays.
Data sharing
Always share great engineering! Sovelia Engineering helps you do it with the ability to share drawings, 3D models, documents and images. All common file types are supported. Information is stored in generic file formats suitable for long time storage and easy access throughout your whole organization. Colleagues from around the business and beyond can access the right information in the right format at the right time.
Revision control
Information isn’t useful when it's out of date. In Sovelia Engineering documents are revision controlled. When you make a change, users can provide updated revision information or leave it to Sovelia internal schemes.
Inventor & AutoCAD interfaces
Built-in interfaces in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD means that engineers can create, manage and share information to Sovelia Engineering and the wider business without leaving the CAD environment. Automation tools eliminates manual and labor-intensive work. Converting data into secondary formats such as PDF and sharing and releasing the files is also achievable.
Easy access to data anytime, anywhere, on any device
Engineering data across the whole organization is accessible through an easily accessible web client. No installation needed. Smartphone, tablets or computers are all supported platforms to access the right information.

The Sovelia Engineering web client allows non-engineers to find and view the correct versions of drawings and documents easily without disturbing the engineering team. All in all, this collaboration platform helps manufacturing companies save time and avoid errors, thereby reducing unnecessary costs and delays.
Document status
Documents are status controlled. Directly out of the box, the system is set up with statuses like Created, In Design, Design Ready, In Production, Obsolete. This allows the right members of the team to advance a document in the process for checking, release or retirement.
PDF Stamping
Sometimes people need a helping hand to identify what they are looking at and make sure the correct information gets shared. PDF documents in the system can be stamped/watermarked by Sovelia based on the current state or other properties. Drawings not approved can typically be stamped in red “NOT ISSUED FOR PRODUCTION. Old revisions are stamped “NOT THE LATEST”. Stamping is configurable, date, time and revision can all be added.
Reporting
People want to see information in different ways, therefore several standard reports are included to publish information in different orders. Report examples include Collect all drawings related to product and Collect all production files (DXF/STP). Custom reports can also be created and added to the system as needed.
Document relations
All documents are related; 3D models are related to Drawing in parent/children relation. Top level products are related to all drawings/documents in sub tree. Autodesk Inventor maintains relation automatically and relations can also be added manually by user. This helps the user to find all documents related to the product.
